Junior School: ECD ~ Grade Seven
The iStudy Buddies is the primary school to the iStudy Centre, offering classes from ECD (Early Childhood Development) to Grade Seven. We offer a gentle yet focused learning environment, where our young ones are guided through creativity, inspiration and hard work, guided and assisted by qualified teachers and dedicated staff.

Using modern teaching techniques and resources, we aim to create happy, confident, articulate and well- educated students, who are fully prepared for the high school transition.
ECD to Grade Two
The iStudy Buddies uses a combination of both the Cambridge and Zimsec syllabi. Foundational subjects such as maths, English and science are all based on the Cambridge curriculum.
We have a highly qualified ECD teacher and an assistant who help our little ones get fully prepared to start primary school. We use the Jolly Phonics* and Letterland** phonetic systems, both UK based programs, and many hands-on activities to keep our pupils engaged. Our junior primary staff are qualified and experienced, and we make sure we have all the necessary resources to ensure a well-balanced school year. Sports, arts & crafts, and music are incorporated into the school day.
* Jolly Phonics is a systematic, synthetic phonics program designed to teach children to read and write by focusing on letter sounds, blending, and segmenting words. It uses a multi-sensory approach with songs, actions and activities to make learning fun and engaging.
** Letterland was created to teach phonics using a story-based approach. The story logic engages students leading to long term retention of concepts. Letterland is multi-sensory, activating learning channels through music, actions, alliteration, movement, song, art, games and role-play.
Grade Three to Grade Seven
Our highly qualified and experienced primary staff ensure that a full understanding of concepts introduced is grasped, that confidence and skill levels are adequate and that all students are fully prepared to enter high school.
As our students advance into Grade Three, we focus purely on the Cambridge syllabi. Once students have completed the Cambridge Primary Syllabus they will sit the examination for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint. We also use their Grade Seven year to fully prepare them for high school.
